Strategic Vision for 2022 |

Since it’s inception in 2018, Intersect has been committed to supporting people at the intersection of faith and mental health. Our hope throughout this time has been to further a movement of people and organizations committed to addressing a critical but neglected space. In 2022, our mission and vision remain unchanged as we continue addressing gaps in holistic care among both faith communities and service providers. While the “why” for our work has continued unaltered, the “what” and “how” of our work has developed in ways that none of us could have expected. Opportunities to expand the work of Intersect beyond our original scope have been coming at a staggering rate. What began as a program looking to impact a local community has expanded into a work with opportunities to equip people regionally, nationally, and internationally. What began as a project with a three-year agency funding commitment has expanded into an initiative with a diverse funding base including partnerships with several local and national institutions. What began with a sole focus on faith and mental health has expanded to include areas of need such as trauma, substance use and homelessness. What began with a one-person staff and collection of volunteers is expanding to include a team of specialists, a member network and a care-portal community of servants. Given these emerging opportunities, it has been the perfect time for Intersect to undergo a strategic planning process. This process has offered much needed reflection and clarity around both where Intersect is going and how we will get there. It has additionally provided a needed occasion to slow down enough to look back as well as forward. Taking stock of Intersect’s journey in this way has revealed the dual importance of an approach that is both intentional and responsive. We will diligently commit ourselves to excellence while watching with anticipation for new doors God may open in the months and years ahead. |

Intersect Seeking Care Portal Coordinator Access Services is hiring a part-time Intersect Care Portal Coordinator for the Intersect program, whose work will be serving the communities of Bucks and Montgomery Counties. The Intersect Care Portal Coordinator will assist Intersect Network leadership, review needs submitted to our Intersect Community Needs Facebook Page and oversee the delivery of approved services to our clients. This individual will also be responsible for establishing and fostering partnerships with faith communities, human service providers, and government agencies on behalf of Access Services to meet the critical needs of people throughout our service area. The candidate must be a resident of Bucks or Montgomery County. Intersect: Community Needs Facebook Group This Facebook group functions as a care portal for faith communities who are looking to meet local needs in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. We will post needs specific to the individuals supported by Access Services. These may include needs for relational support, material resources, and/or monetary donations. We encourage you to share this page with your family and friends. While we started this page to provide concrete service opportunities to local faith communities, we encourage any community members who are interested in giving back to join! |

Your support and assistance will enrich an individual’s life by affording them the opportunity to become a fully participating member of their community and empowering them to reach for and achieve their goals and aspirations. |
