An Update from Rob Reid, President and CEO

Dear Access Services Community:

I want to give you an update on the status of Access Services during the current COVID-19 crisis.

We are facing unprecedented challenges, and I know many of you are concerned about how this is impacting the people we support, our services, and our employees.

Since Access supports very vulnerable people, many of our services must continue during this time.  As of today, March 25, 2020, approximately 60% of our services are in operation and we consider them to be essential.  We expect those services to remain active for the duration of this crisis.  We will continue to closely monitor and follow the federal and state directives and maintain prudent safety measures for our staff in the field.  Adjustments will be made as needed, based on circumstance and new information.

A number of staff have been impacted by those services that are not currently operating.  Whenever possible, these employees have been redirected to available hours in programs and services still in operation.  For those staff who are not working now, we expect this situation to be temporary, and we will get everyone back into their jobs are soon as we are able.

I am proud of all of our staff for how they have faced this unique situation. The uncertainty has caused a great deal of anxiety and stress - together we can get through this and continue to thrive as an organization.   I am blessed to work with so many mission-minded and dedicated people.

Thank you to everyone – staff, business partners, donors and friends - who are pulling together to help serve people in need.  Please continue to look for ways to care for those around you and for yourself.

Regular updates will continue through the remainder of this situation. Please visit our Facebook page:  Access Services for information.
